On July the 19th 2007 the Norwegian Glacier Museum opened its new extension, the Ulltveit-Moe Climate Centre and the new exhibition 'Our fragile climate'.
The extension, also designed by the architect Sverre Fehn, is built around the existing cinema. The concept of the exhibition, which deals with climate change, was developed by leading Norwegian climate scientists and researchers. The exhibition is designed by Sarner Ltd. London.
The former vice-president of the USA Walter F. Mondale declared the exhibition for opened. Among the guests of honour was Jens Ulltveit-Moe, CEO and president of the Umoe Group, who donated 15 million NOK to the climate exhibition.
